We took a shot and were NOT disappointed. The lunch deal is definitely worth it. I tried to sample almost everything and highlights were the short ribs, crispy garlic chicken, mango salad, clams, and green tea ice cream. Service was still attentive even though the place was hectic. Nobody mind our wild group of kiddos, definitely family friendly here.

Long Island's best Asian buffet. Long Island Buffet's have come and gone.. thrived and withered... had fresh food and well... not ... but DJs has steadily maintained and improved as the years roll on.... the crowds come here... of all ethnic origins also I might ad... lots of Chinese speaking people... and everyone else.... Its really a nice place to go and have fun for lunch or dinner.... if you want to try a million different things.. as I usually do. Hahaha. Love love love their greens, Bok choy especially...mushrooms and for their flavor. Love all the fried mini egg rolls and other appetizers... the grilled food like corn and ribs, chicken on a stick... all so flavorful.... crab is back... for years.. I would see and pay for the inclusion of crab... not that I cared.. if there or not... but some crazies used to race over and empty the seafood out... usually empty... shocked the last two visits to see it there.... the weirdos must have moved away... or.... lol who knows.. hahaha Ok so mussels.... clams... sauteed and flavorful... all kinds of fun stuff.. coconut shrimpy stuff... whatever that is... colorful sushi rolls, seaweed salad next to it... yum, yum and way to good. Soups are self serve on a separate buffet.. Tip... just because its a buffet .. doesn't hurt to add a few singles to Sushi chefs jar. They are rolling and preparing delicious sushi and very helpful. In the back on the salad bar, few people are there... but that is where you can find duck sauce.... hidden back there.... for egg rolls etc.. Oh... dumplings and the hoisin dipping sauce are better than any dumpling house.. seriously would put up against any NYC line around the block dumpling house.. Right here amid the chaos.. Go with a friend.. its fun.

I come to DJ's pretty regularly. Maybe about every other month, and I love it. They have really great variety in food, the staff are genuinely nice and keep the restaurant very clean. I'm a vegetarian and often buffets are not worth the money for me, since I can't eat most things. But, DJ's has a good selection and the prices are not too bad. Though, I will say lunch is a better option than dinner, if you don't eat meat or seafood, since the price is lower. Some of my favorite items: sautéed veggies, soups, rice, noodles, pizza, salads, grilled corn, and dessert options. As an added perk, DJ's is located in an active area of LI, with a lot of shopping and things to do. Their parking lot is spacious too. Definitely check them out if you are around!

A bang for your buck! Definitely come on a weekday during lunch time for less than $20 per person plus seniors 65+ get 12% off and on the day of your birthday you get 50% off. It's the traditional buffet style where you get to go up to the stalls and pick what you want (not the paper selection buffets). Surprisingly, they offer a huge variety of food from Chinese take out, to seafood on the shell, to sushi, to soups, to ice-cream on the cone. The servers were nice and reasonable and came to pick up old plates quite often. The place has a cute, warm lighting. They sell some cute tiny things on the cash register counter. There are some claw machines and 3 restroom stalls in each bathroom. Very nice buffet restaurant - will definitely come again!

So. Much. Seafood. I've been to my fair share of Asian buffets and wow - this one had crab, crawfish, a variety of shrimp dishes, sashimi, sushi, sea bass, baked mussels and clams, etc. I went for the sushi and sashimi and got so full from the never ending thick slices of salmon. Decor and service are simple but clean. Go for the food - very reasonable for $30 per adult on a weeknight! Kids over 2 eat for a cheap price too ($2.15 x years old) and they have a good variety of pizza mozzarella sticks, nuggets, fries, noodles, fried rice. Desserts were good. I had soft serve ice cream (chocolate and vanilla) with a coconut macaroon and a small slice of chocolate cake - just enough because I was so full already. Wish I could eat like a 20 year old again!
